Laura Tyree grew up in Amherst County and attended Lynchburg College where she received a BA in Speech Communications. She married her high school sweetheart and has one son that lives locally. After extensive experience in sales and management, Laura joined the ranks of Travel Lovers in mid 2001. Laura has exceptional customer service skills and LOVES to travel, especially with friends and family members. Her favorite destinations include multiple islands in the Caribbean, Europe, South America, and the South Pacific. She has trouble narrowing down her exact favorites because she enjoys every place she visits with excitement and a smile on her face.  Italy, Peru, and Tahiti are among her favorites. 
 
Although Laura arranges all manner of travel like family vacations and honeymoons, her niche seems to be planning customized vacations for her clients as well as escorting travel groups around the world. She selects one or two annual European tours each year to guide and escorts Business Groups as well. She almost always has several getaways lined up on her calendar. Laura is constantly “learning” about different countries and currently holds over 37 “specialist certifications” - which means she is an expert on these destinations around the world. Italy, United Kingdom, Hawaii, Sandals Resorts, Peru, the Cayman Islands and Aruba are only a few of her specialties. Always the enthusiastic travel agent, Laura looks forward to working with each and every client.
 
In addition to her love of travel, Laura is active in the Forest Rotary Club where she is a former club president and enjoys reading, skiing, kayaking and spending time with family and friends laughing loudly.  If you work with Laura, be ready - you will catch her enthusiasm for travel.  She looks forward to sending you away real soon.
